Mr. Robert Pittman was born on May 23, 1923 to the late Jake Pittman and Zephy Heirs Williams in Campbellton, Florida.
He was happily married to the late Queen Clemons Pittman for many years. A devoted farmer and attended school at St. Paul in Campbellton, Florida.
He enjoyed fishing, farming and being in the company of his beloved family. He was converted at an early age and joined St. Paul AME Church in Campbellton, Florida.
Life to eternity came on January 9, 2016 at home in the company of his beloved family members.
During his union with his wife, Queen Clemons Pittman, ten children were conceived. The following children have departed life: James H. Lewis, Johnnie Pittman, Jessie Pittman, Robert Pittman, Otha Pittman, Charles Pittman and Nathaniel Pittman. He also was preceded in death by his dearest siblings: Essie Williams, Frank Williams, Delia Walker and Annie Mae Brown.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories two daughters: Betty Jackson (Eddie Forte) of Orlando, Florida and Mabell Cook of Campbellton, Florida and one son, James Pittman (Tanya) of Campbellton, Florida; three daughters-in-law: Deloris Lewis of Jacksonville, Florida and Gladys Pittman of Campbellton, Florida and Lessley B. Pittman of Orlando, Florida; three outstanding nieces and nephew: Fannie Kendrick, Annie Everette and James Benjamin Williams; he has twenty grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren; a host of beautiful cousins, friends and church family.
