Loueffer Pittman

Ms. Loueffer "Mo" Pittman of Jacob City, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the Washington County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Chipley, Florida. She was 85.

Sister Loueffer Pittman was born  on September 1, 1929 to the late Hosea and Martha Russ Pittman.

She was converted at an early age and joined the Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Jacob City, Florida.

She was active with the church’s Senior Choir, Senior Mission, and the Community Prayer Band Ministry until her health began to fail.

Sister Pittman was also a member of the Silver Star Chapter No. 41, Order of the Eastern Star and Home Mission Society.

She attended the Jackson County public school system and obtained her high school diploma through the Adult Education Program in 1974.

She retired from Register Meat Packing Company, where she worked for over twenty-five years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Alfonsa Pittman Dawson and Lottie Mae Henderson; four brothers: Nehemiah Pittman, Rei Pittman, Jeremiah Pittman and M.D. Pittman.

Sister Pittman leaves to cherish her memories her son: the Reverend Obadiah White and wife Terry of Chipley, Florida; two grandchildren: Latina English of Chipley,  Florida and Shenita White of Tallahassee, Florida; one great grandchild: Jayden English of Chipley, Florida; sister-in-law: Queen Pittman of Port St. Joe, Florida; a very special, loving and devoted niece: Edna Pittman of Jacob City, Florida; also special nieces: Ronstance Pittman, Keslyn Myers and Kesa Masseline all of Jacob City, Florida; a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 4-7 PM, Friday, January 30, 2015 in the M. Sue and Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel, 5441 Cooper Street, Graceville, Florida.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Jacob City, FL with the Reverend Obadiah White, pastor/teacher.

She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
