Jimmie Lee DavisAugust 29, 1943 ~ November 13, 2017 (age 74)
God saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb, He gently closed his loving eyes, and whispered “peace be mine.”
Mr. Jimmie Lee Davis was given the precious gift of life on Sunday, August 29, 1943 in Homerville, GA to the late Odell Jones and Maggie Riley.
At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined St. Phillip A.M.E. Church, Madrid, AL. He was employed at Colonial Bakery (Bimbo Bakeries) for 33 1/2 years, where he retired on Wednesday, December 27, 2006.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Bertha Key on Wednesday, May 25, 1994.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odell Jones and Maggie Riley; his stepfather, Joe Davis; three sisters: Catherine Snell, Mary Lee Davis and Rosene Davis; three brothers: Robert Lee Davis, Charlie Lee Davis and Joseph Davis; and a stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Brock.
