Must Jesus bear the Cross alone and all the world go free? No, there’s a cross for everyone and there’s a Cross for me!
Chapter 1: His Life
Victor was a loving, fun spirited, and kind person. He brought smiles, laughter, and joy to everyone he encountered. Victor was affectionately known as Uncle Drack, “Drack Pac”, and he coined himself as “The Master of Disaster”. Victor had a passion for reading. He was an avid and notorious reader. He enjoyed reading novels. Even in his last days, he always requested books to read. On the dance floor, he would “transform”! He was the best dance partner some of us have ever had.
Victor was born on April 5, 1964 to the Deacon Wesley Weatherington and Annie Ruth Weatherington in Madrid, Alabama. As the fifth child and only son, he gave his four older sisters a run for their money. He was baptized at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church located in the Stateline Community.
His education began with the Houston County and Jackson County school districts. Legend has it that he scored the highest on several standardized tests as a student. He received his high school diploma from the Job Corps training program. Over the years, he was employed as a construction laborer. He could figure out a way to make anything work!
