In the quaint town of Marianna, under Florida's sun, Sir Zarius Darnelle Flood II's life had begun. Known to his friends and his family as Darnelle, his story of kindness and laughter we fondly retell.
In two thousand and three, on December's tenth day, a child was born, who'd light up the way. With a smile that shone like the morning's first light, Darnelle grew up, a pure delight.
He walked the halls of Vernon High with pride, where his humor and kindness would not hide. A beacon of joy, in every class he'd attend, o every soul he met, he'd easily befriend.
On January's twenty-fourth, in twenty-six, Darnelle's chapter closed, at age twenty-two's mix in Graceville, he breathed his very last breath, leaving a legacy that's not shadowed by death.
His parents, Dominique Franchesca Works and Sir D. Flood the First, felt his love was a blessing, in their hearts deeply immersed. Noel Sabastian Works, Aiden Walker, Rusty Wright, and Kimberley Works, his siblings so dear, will hold onto his memories, year after year. Cheryl D. Works Peterson, his grandmother with grace, and Ransom Works, his great-grandfather, the base. They'll cherish the moments, the laughter, the fun, Remembering Darnelle, their beloved grandson.
Ollie M. Stuckey, Clementine Howard (Elder Tony Howard), Almeanus A. Chambers and more, Cleveland Works, Darryl Works, Zachary Flood (Cindy) and Johnny Flood, hearts sore. With Kaydra Riley, his special friend so true, they'll miss his bright spirit, as will all who knew.
His great aunts and uncles, in their hearts and their thoughts, he'll always be found. Cousins, friends, relatives, near and afar, will gaze up at night, and wish on his star.
For Darnelle was funny, a kind-hearted soul, lighting up lives, was his effortless role. His laughter, a melody, a harmonious sound, in the hearts of his loved ones, it'll forever resound.
So let's not speak of sorrow, or of the night, but celebrate Darnelle, our source of light. His story's not over, for in us, it lives, a tale of a man who had so much to give.
Farewell, Sir Zarius Darnelle Flood II, your time here was brief, but the love you've inspired is beyond belief. May your journey be gentle, as you find your rest, in the hearts of your family, you'll always be blessed.
