SSgt (Ret.) Michael O'Shea Griffin, Sr., was born in Lynn Haven, Florida on May 28, 1950. He was the fifth child born to Mr. James Wakefield Griffin and Mrs. Ruth Jones Griffin. (Preceded him in death, his parents; his wife- Gloria; his older sister Delores; two brothers: Harry and James Griffin.)
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Gloria Jean Fennell and to this union two children: Jarvis D. Fennell and Michael Griffin II.
Michael attended public school in Bay County, where he graduated from Rosenwald High School in 1968. He was an avid member of Campbell’s Temple Holiness Church. He served as a Deacon on the Finance Committee Board. He also, was an active member of the Gent’s Club, Panama, City, Florida. Whiling serving as the president of the Bay/Jackson Jones-Creal Family Reunion Committee.
He attended Gulf Community College. Followed by joining the United States Air Force, where he served and retired as a Staff Sergeant. After, his retirement he joined The Marriott Bay Point and was employed as a Chef, until his second retirement.
He leaves to mourn his passing, two son: Jarvis D. Fennell and Michael O. Griffin II, Panama City, Florida; one sister: Patricia (James) Huffman, Pensacola Florida, three aunts: Addie Sue Pyles, Mary (Robert) White both of Jacob City, Florida, Carolyn (Harold) Holmes of New Port News, Virginia; one uncle; Danny (Jaketa) Jones of Leesville, Lousianna; brother-in-law: Frankie (Vanessa) Fennell, Port St. Joe, Florida; grandchildren: Michael Griffin III and Alana Reed, Panama City, Florida, Trevon and Marcus Fennell, Tallahassee Florida, Jarvis Fennell, Jr. and Kenny Riley of Panama City, Florida and a host of other relatives and friends.
