Sgt. (Ret.) Gerald Dwayne Anderson, Sr., age 60, of Bonifay, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
Gerald was a graduate of Walton County School System and Delaware State University. He retired from the State of Florida Correction as a Sergeant.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents: Roevell Anderson and Elna Goode Johnson; a brother: Larry L. Johnson.
Sgt. Anderson is survived by his wife, Jessie Pearl Anderson; children: Gerald Anderson, Jr. (Ursula), Jessica Taylor (Gary) and Herman Ramsey (Jason); grandchildren: Justice Taylor, Juwan Shack, Alex Shack, Jayden Oxendine, Gerald Anderson III and Gianni Anderson; great grandson: Declan Farrell; sisters and brothers: Brenda Jackson, Leon (Carla) Anderson, Myrick (Leah) Anderson, Reverend Anthony Johnson(Sharon) and Elvira Goode Jones; aunt and uncles: James Anderson, Jirlean Laird and T.A. Goode; sisters and brothers-in-law: Grady Taylor, Mary Villacorta, Annie Washington, Marilyn (Willie) Scarborough, Lillie Jean (Arthur) and Vanessa Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
