Gwen's educational journey began at the Jackson County Training School, where she graduated in 1953.

Her quest for knowledge and self-improvement continued throughout her life, as she later studied at FAMU and also earned her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from Chipola Jr. College. Gwen's commitment to education was a testament to her belief in the power of lifelong learning. Her professional life was as diverse as it was impactful. Gwen served at the Florida School for Boys, and later at Sunland Center, where she retired with over three decades of dedicated service to the State of Florida.

She was also a cherished presence at the Marianna Pizza Hut, where her influence and encouragement helped shape the lives of many young employees. In her role as a Funeral Ambassador at Christian Memorial Chapel, LLC, Gwen continued her mission of service, working alongside her brother, Donald, and sons, Ronald and Williams A.

Gwen's life was a symphony of service, sung with the joy of helping others. As a devoted member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, she lifted her voice in the Senior Choir, extended a welcoming hand on the Usher Board, and offered support through the Senior Women Missionary Board and Pastor’s Aide Committee. Her love for her church was a reflection of her deep faith and her commitment to community.

On January 14, 2017, Gwen and Amos Robinson united in Holy Matrimony, embarking on a partnership filled with love and mutual devotion. Their bond was a testament to the power of love, as Amos cared for Gwen with a tenderness that knew no bounds. Gwen often remarked on the goodness of her husband, stating with a smile, "My husband is a good man and he is good to me." This love story was one of mutual respect, unwavering support, and deep affection.

Gwen was a virtuous woman, embodying the spirit of Proverbs 31 with her kind-heartedness, loving nature, and a dash of spice that made her truly unique. She was both loving and passionate, a spirited soul who approached life with gusto and determination.

As we remember Mrs. Gwendolyn D. Robinson, let us honor her memory by emulating her passion for life, her dedication to service, and her boundless capacity for love.
