Mrs. Beverly Croft Obituary

Mrs. Beverly Croft, a beacon of love and faith, passed away in the comforting surroundings of her home in Bascom, Florida, on July 28, 2024. Born on a bright spring day, April 2, 1954, in Graceville, Florida, Beverly's infectious spirit and unwavering resolve were evident from her early years spent under the loving guidance of her late parents, WL and Jerrie Daniels Johnson.

Beverly's life was a testament to her enduring strength and the joy she found in the simplest pleasures. She was a cherished alumna of Graceville High, where the seeds of her lifelong friendships were sown. Beverly's career spanned 18 fulfilling years at Sunland, where she was not just an employee but a part of a larger family, retiring in August of 2016 with the respect and affection of all who worked alongside her.

She navigated her life's journey with a spirit of adventure, a love for travel, and an insatiable appetite for shopping. But it was the time spent with family and friends that she valued above all else. Beverly's love story is incomplete without mentioning her devoted husband, Kenneth Croft, and their beautiful children, Kenneth Jr., Roderick, and Stacy Croft-Holden (Clarence Holden), who were the pride of her life. Her legacy continues to shine brightly through her grandchildren, Destiny, Nakeysha, Brihan, and Heaven, who will carry her spirit forward.

Beverly's siblings, Patsy Green, Trudy Blue, and Milton Johnson, along with her sister-in-law, Susie Joe Oliver (Ralph Oliver), and brother-in-law, Coleman Glover (Delores Glover), will hold dear the memories of her laughter and the unwavering support she provided. Her family circle extended to a host of caring nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom felt the warmth of her embrace. A special shoutout to her close friends Febie, Mary Chaney, Linda, Brenda Fay and Peggy. A special shout out to her niece, Isalene who was like a sister to Beverly.

Beverly's life was marked by her loving nature, her spirited demeanor, and her deep, faith-filled existence. She battled cancer with the same courage and grace that she approached all aspects of her life. In this fight, she was not alone; her niece Carmen Wilson stood by her side, a vital force in her journey toward healing. Beverly's heartfelt gratitude also extended to her dear friend Ruth Ann Brooks and to everyone who surrounded her with love and prayers.

In her final days, Beverly shared reflections filled with pride for her children and grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. She often said, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain." This quote, attributed to Vivian Greene, mirrors the way Beverly lived her life, dancing through challenges with a smile that could light up the darkest room.

As we celebrate Beverly's life, let us not dwell on the sorrow of her departure but instead find inspiration in the way she lived. Her story reminds us that every moment is a gift and that the love we share is the truest measure of a life well-lived. Beverly Croft's journey may have reached its earthly conclusion, but her spirit continues to dance, encouraging us to embrace life with the same passion and positivity she embodied.

In honoring Beverly's memory, we are reminded of the power of a loving heart and the indomitable spirit of a woman who faced life's trials with unwavering faith. Let us carry forward the torch of her spirit, illuminating our paths with love and joy, just as she did for so many throughout her remarkable life.
