Mr. Kenneth Pittman Obituary

Kenneth Louis Pittman passed away on March 23, 2024, in his hometown of Jacob City, FL.  Kenneth was a man whose warmth and gentle spirit left a mark on the hearts of all who knew him. He drew his last breath surrounded by the love of his family in Jacob City, Florida, the place he called home for many years. He was born on April 22, 1960, to Joe and Everlyn Pittman in Jacob City, FL.

Kenneth was a beloved husband to the love of his life, Kathryn McCroan Pittman, with whom he shared 25 beautiful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to his son, Kenneth Pittman, and daughter, Kendra Pittman (Roy Peeples). He is also survived by his parents, Everlyn and Joe Pittman, his sisters Jonitha and Latrena Pittman, his niece Ashley, stepdaughters Jamesa and Lindsey, as well as six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Kenneth leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss his presence in their lives.

Kenneth Pittman was a man of integrity and honor, graduating from high school in Cottondale, FL, in the class of '78. He served in the military and received numerous awards, including campaign medals for his service during times of war. Kenneth was a dedicated employee, working as a landscaper and heavy equipment operator after his military service.

Outside of his professional life, Kenneth had a passion for the outdoors and music. When he wasn’t riding on one of his many tractors, or outside with his animals (he was particularly fond of his horses) he could often be found playing his guitar and keyboard, sharing his love for music with everyone around him. He cherished spending time with his cousins and friends, creating lasting memories. One of his greatest joys was indulging in his favorite food - oysters. He was also a great fan of westerns.

Kenneth Pittman will be remembered for his loving and caring nature. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, embodying compassion and kindness in all his interactions. Kenneth's presence brightened the lives of all who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Samuel Henderson and Inez Henderson, as well as his paternal grandparents, Abraham and Clyde Pittman, and a host of aunts and uncles. His legacy of love and generosity will forever be cherished by his family and friends.

Kenneth's life will be celebrated with a service befitting a man of his stature – one filled with love, remembrance, and the joy of having been graced by his presence. The world is a better place for having had Kenneth in it, and though he will be greatly missed, the memory of his friendly smile, handy skills, and gentle nature will live on forever.
