Mother Annie Dee Nickson, 85, departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Panama City, Florida.
Annie was born to the late Emmit Otis Nickson and Mamie Lou Nickson. She was a graduate of George Washington High School in Port St. Joe.
Annie gave her life to Christ on September 25, 1984, and was a devoted student of the Word. She was a longtime member of Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the usher board and in various other church organizations.
Annie worked as a cook at Tyndall Air Force Base for many years until her retirement. After retiring, she volunteered at North Florida Child Development Center, where she joyfully served as a “Grandma.”
She leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, Mitchell Nickson Sr. and Jeffery Gainer; one daughter, Barbara Ann Hill; grandchildren, Carmen Hill, Trubias Hill, Tanesha McClelland (Michael), Shari Nickson-Rodgers (Joseph), Mitchell Nickson Jr. (Dominisha), and Denard Nickson (Jasmin); great-grandchildren Alaina McClelland, Alasia McClelland, Shanyah McCotter, Joseph Rodgers, Jo’Kobe Rodgers, Aiden Nickson, Amir Nickson, Alani Nickson, Kaori Nickson, Elianna Nickson, Harmony Nickson, Chyenne Arthur, and Makyia Arthur; three brothers, Emmit Nickson (Tanis), Donald Nickson (Jackie), and Gary Rolack; four sisters, Voncile Nickson, Mertice Dawson, Clementine Nickson, and Linda Hill (Gene); godchildren Valerie Hamilton James, Bella Chambers, Raiden Chambers, and Kylo Chambers; a special niece Erin Hill, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmit Otis Nickson and Mamie Lou Nickson; son-in-law, Edward Hill; granddaughter, LaTosha Arthur; great-granddaughter, LaTazsha Arthur; sisters, Dorothy Nickson and Shirley Brown; and brothers, James Nickson and Clinton Nickson.
