Brother Maxie Walker, Jr., was born in Jackson County, Florida on Thursday, July 18, 1940 to Mr. Maxie Sr., and Mrs. Hester Baldwin Walker.
He was converted at an early age and joined the Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church of Jacob City, Florida.
Brother Walker was united in Holy Matrimony in 1959 to Mrs. Smithie Lou Walker.
In his 82nd season of life, he slept away in death to be awaken in the bosom of Jesus on Thursday, October 20, 2022, while in the comfort of his residence.
He was a native of Jackson County and a member of Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Jacob City, Florida. He retired from the International Paper Company. Brother Walker was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Smithie Lou Walker (October 1, 2018) and his daughter, Sheila Walker.
Mr. Walker, Jr., is survived by seven children: Nathan Walker (Melvin Ann Walker) of Salinas, California, Don Walker of Aberdeen, Maryland, Mike Walker of Jacob City, Florida, Barnette Walker-Bell (Curtis) of Chipley, Florida, Glenn Walker of Jacksonville, Florida, Karen Walker of Altamonte, Florida and Vincent Melvin of Saint Petersburg, Florida; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers: J.B. Russ of Dothan, Alabama and CSM (Ret.) Jimmy Walker of Tacoma, Washington; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
