Maggie Capehart Obituary

Maggie Capehart was born December 19, 1933 in Cottonwood, Alabama  Aaron and Mamie Watson  Capehart.

Maggie peacefully transitioned to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 30, 2021. As a faithful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, she displayed a heart of gold that transcends her time with us and she leaves behind a very rich legacy. Maggie loved God and people.

At an early age, she yielded her life to the Almighty God, accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior  by joining Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Cottonwood, Alabama. She was an active member and loved reading her bible daily.

Maggie was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Aaron and Mamie Watson Capehart; sisters: Jewell Chapman, Annie Dean Capehart, Lena Mae Capehart, Helen Ann Moore; brothers: Johnny Frank Capehart and Samuel Donell Capehart; two loving daughters and son-in-law: Elenar (Billy) Ward and Carolyn Daniels.

Mrs. Capehart leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving family; her son: James Earl Morris of Jonesboro, Georgia; daughters: Barnita Merritt (Samuel) of Dothan, Alabama and Mary Cody (Nathaniel) of Cottonwood, Alabama; a son-in-law: Jirah Daniels of Campbellton, Florida; nephews she raised as sons: Joseph Cody (Vanessa) of Cottonwood, Alabama, Aaron Sanders of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Larry Sanders (Michelle) of Summerset, New Jersey and Michael Capehart (LaKeisha) of Cottonwood, Alabama; a very special nephew: Hurbert Capehart (Earline) of Cottonwood, Alabama; special friends and neighbors: Rose Cody (Daniel) of Cottonwood, Alabama, Everlina Register of Dothan, Alabama and the Reverend James H. Cody (Catherine) of Dothan, Alabama; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
