On Saturday, September 19, 1981, the angels delivered a baby boy to Ms. Katrina Florence. The apple of her eye, she named him Lee Travis Florence. Born and raised in Marianna, Florida, Lee was surrounded by love. He left a lasting imprint on everyone he encountered throughout his life.
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Lee entered eternal rest after an extended illness. Lee joined his mother, Katrina Florence, and grandparents, Arthur and Mary Lee Warren, who preceded him in death.
Lee was a 2000 graduate of Marianna High School, where he proudly played basketball and built lifelong friendships. He had a passion for his local church community, family, and sports. Lee was a hardworking man. He was employed with Sunland for 17 years.
At an early age, Lee gave his life to Christ and was baptized on Sunday, April 28, 1991, at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, grounding his life in faith and spiritual values. He was active in the youth and young adult ministries and regularly attended Sunday school. Known for his warm spirit and genuine heart, Lee had a way of making people feel valued. Whether through laughter, conversation, or simply his presence, he brought light into every room.
From his first breath to his last smile on Saturday, March 21, 2026, Lee lived a life defined by quiet strength, a reserved spirit, and a heart that gave freely to others. Though he did not seek the spotlight, his kindness spoke volumes.
Lee was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Katrina Florence, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.
Lee leaves to cherish one uncle, Reginald (Gigs) Warren of Augusta, Georgia; best friend, Deon Baker of Marianna, Florida; a host of cousins, relatives, friends, colleagues, and classmates.
