Mrs. Joan Gillette Olds was born on December 5, 1951, to Andrew Sr., and Maggie Lee Pearson Gillette in Jacob City, Florida.
She was a member of Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Jacob City, Florida. She was a graduate of Saint Paul High School in Campbellton, Florida.
Joan retired from West Point Home in Chipley, Florida.
She is survived by her children: Derrick White, Sr., of Graceville, Florida, Reginald White (Toni) of Campbellton, Florida, Tarvis Gillette (Christina) of Ohio; stepchildren: Tremaine Olds and Roddrick Olds (Ashley) all of Panama City, Florida, Angela Simmons of Jacksonville, Florida, Amber Olds of Dothan, Alabama and Chaddrick Olds of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren: Marquis, Derrick, Jr., Jaden W. , Nekayla, Quantasia, Breanna, Caleb, Le’Bron, Jaden O., Jada, Karsen, Owen, Bella, Marley, Alana, Nala and Javris; great grandchildren: Raelynn, Tyriq, Gianna; a sister: Northanner Johnson of Jacob City, Florida; a brother: Andrew Gillette (Lois) of Cottondale, Florida; mother and father-in-law: Helen and Jethro Olds, Sr.; brothers and sisters-in-law: Raymond (Cynthia) Olds, Jethro Olds, Jr. (Vivian), Limmie Olds (Dixie) all Campbellton, Florida, Culton Olds of Marianna, Florida, Patricia Olds Wilson (Reverend Nelson) of Tallahassee, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; special caregiver: Mr. Erry White of Cottondale, Florida.
