Mrs. Gwendolyn Deloris Broxton was born on Saturday, November 19, 1949 in Graceville, Florida to Frederick Leon, Sr. and America Pinkard Broxton.
She attended St. Paul High School through the 10th grade and Palmer Memorial Institute her 11th grade year. She graduated from with honors from Würzburg American High School (or WAHS) was located in Würzburg, Germany on Leighton Barracks. She obtained her Bachelor Degree of Sociology from Tuskegee Institute. Later she achieved her Registered Nurse licensure in Denver, Colorado.
She received her commission from the United States Army and served as an Operational Room Nurse in the military. She received an honorable discharge.
She enjoyed playing and singing and was a pianist.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: Frederick Leon Jr., and Carolyn Broxton; a niece: Brigette and her husband Bobby Douglas of Apollo Beach, Florida; one great nephew: Alex Small of Apollo Beach, Florida; great niece: Olivia Small of Apollo Beach, Florida; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
