Frank Lamar Nix, Sr., known by all as beloved Frankie D., was born in the humble town of Campbellton, Florida on October 11, 1961. On June 14, 2023, he peacefully drifted away in Huntsville, Alabama, leaving a legacy of love and adventure.
Always interesting, always kind, Frankie D. was a man who truly knew how to unwind. A friend to all, he was never a bore, his adventurous spirit was hard to ignore. His life was filled with laughter and cheer, and his memory will be held dear.
Frankie D. was preceded in the journey by his mother, the ever-loving Reland Nix and a brother, the strong and steady Odell Lane. However, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he left behind. His beloved Sheila Nix, his children Greg King, Sr., Frank Nix, Jr., and the darling Felicia Nix. His siblings: Johnny Lane and wife Debra, Joan Davis and husband Eddie, Reta Davis, and Tangila Nix. His grandson, the apple of his eye, Greg King, Jr., his aunt R. Bell Curry, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who loved him dearl
In the words of the great Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Frankie D. lived a life full of joy and adventure, and his spirit will continue to inspire all those he touched.
As we bid farewell to dear Frankie D., let us remember him not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the love and laughter he brought into our lives. His memory will continue to shine brightly, as a beacon of friendship, adventure, and love.
