Earley Lewis III affectionately known as “Tiny” was the second child born to Early Lewis Jr. and Patricia Ann Pace-Lewis on July 2, 1965 in Port St. Joe, Florida. He was raised in a stern-but-loving home; endowed with respect, discipline, responsibility, accountability and independency – all of which attributed to the strong man that he was.
Earley attended Gulf County Schools and was a graduate of Port St. Joe High School, Class of 1985. Earley was employed at Premier Chemical Company/the Box Plant for many years. He became an entrepreneur as founder and operator of a Lawn Service, a Car Wash Service, and a Construction Company. He offered his services with quality, kindness and fairness.
Earley’s church affiliation is with New Life Christian Center. In his last days, Earley repented of his sins, asked God for forgiveness, and stated his belief in the life, death, and saving resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Earley was the epitome of a true friend. In John 15:13, the Lord Jesus Christ gives us the definition of a true friend: "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. Earley was one whom you could be yourself with and never fear that he would judge you. Someone that you could confide in with complete trust. He was a friend you respected, and he respected you back. Earley’s friendship was a blessing to many.
On September 4, 2023, at approximately 11:57 PM, Earley departed this life to share the peace of eternal life in the presence of the Lord.
Earley’s parents preceded him in death.
Precious memories will linger in the heart of his beloved daughter, Shakeia Ashlyn Courtney Joy; siblings, Walter (Mildred) Lewis, Rosalind (Harrison) McClain, Dr. Michael B. (Erica) Lewis Sr., Curtis E. Lewis, Shelton (Breanna) Lewis; aunts, Diane Julius, Rocenia (Howard) Pittman; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
