Dawn Palmore Obituary

Dawn M. Palmore, age 59, a beloved figure whose life was characterized by the love she had for her family and the joy she found in simple pleasures, passed away on January 12, 2026, in Pensacola, Florida.

Born on October 15, 1966, Dawn's life was one of connection, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sisters, Judy Sloan and Colleen Ruiz and a brother Larry. The reunion with her sisters was surely a comforting and joyous moment, as they embraced her with the same love and warmth that defined Dawn's relationships in life.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in her husband, Andre Palmore, Sr., who stood by her side as her partner in all things. Her two sons, Andre Palmore, Jr. and Coty Arron Garcia, were her pride and joy, the very center of her universe. Her granddaughter, Aubrey Garcia, brought a sparkle to her eye and laughter to her days, filling her world with the kind of happiness that only a grandchild can bring.

Dawn's memory will also be cherished by her brothers, John and Dennis Sloan of Grant, Michigan, who shared with her the unbreakable bond of sibling love and camaraderie. Her lifelong best friend, Brooke Newton Smith of Kent City, Michigan, will miss the unbreakable bond they shared, a testament to the power of enduring friendship. Gloria Peterson, her loving mother-in-law, along with a host of friends who became like family, will hold the essence of Dawn's spirit in their hearts forever.

Her interests were a reflection of her love for life's simple joys. Dawn found pleasure in the excitement of Bingo, the connectedness of Facebook, the challenge of Candy Crush, and the adventure of traveling. Each of these interests was more than a pastime; they were avenues through which she connected with others, sharing laughter and creating memories.

As we say goodbye to Dawn M. Palmore, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived and the countless ways in which she made our lives richer and more beautiful. Her love will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
