Collins Harvey Myrick, Sr.

 Brother Collins Harvey Myrick, Sr., was born September 27, 1948 to Eldora Lewis Myrick and the late James G. Myrick, Jr., in Marianna, FL.

He accepted Christ into his life and was a member of Springfield A.M.E. Church. Brother Myrick was a 1966 graduate of St. Paul High School, Campbellton, FL. He was employed with the Dozier School for Boys in Marianna, FL until his retirement in 2004.

Brother Myrick was preceded in death by his father, James G. Myrick, Jr. and brother, Debro Myrick.

On Friday, April 29, 2011 the Lord called Brother Myrick from his earthly home to his Heavenly resting place, while his loving and devoted family surrounded him.

He is survived by his wife the Reverend Mary D. Myrick whom he affectionately called “Honey” of Marianna, FL; his mother, Eldora Myrick of Marianna, FL; children: Roderick E. Myrick (Amanda) of Lake Worth, FL, Collins Harvey Myrick, Jr., (Monique) of Midway, FL, Deborah M. Long (Ladon) of Pensacola, FL, Sharonda Geffrard (Anssy) of Tallahassee, FL and Kimberly J. Myrick of Marianna, FL; three grandchildren: Kieifi Myrick of Crawfordville, FL, Taryn Geffrard of Tallahassee, FL and Aniya Myrick of Lake Worth, FL; siblings: the Reverend Delanor Myrick, Sr., (Mae), James Myrick III, Nelson Myrick, Sr., (Debbie), Lue Roulhac and Kettria Rivers all of Marianna, FL and  Andrewnette Bryant (Will) of Cottondale, FL; aunts: Emma D. Johnson of Campbelton, FL and Henrietta Lewis of Awendaw, SC; brothers-in-law: Lewis Dawson (Yun) of Fayetteville, NC, Charles Dawson, Sr., (Mary) of San Antonio, TX, Qualie Roulac of Chipley, FL and Lofton Bell of Columbus, GA; sisters-in-law: Mamie Myrick and Norma L. Snelling both of Marianna, FL; Barbara Myrick of Rivera Beach, FL, Otha Myrick of Greenwood, FL, Celestine Malley (Ernest) of Panama City, FL, Dorothy Turner and Debbie Turner both of DeFuniak Springs, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
