Bryce Tavares Myrick

Bryce Taveres Myrick, 49, of Dothan, Alabama departed this early life on Sunday, October 26, 2025 surrounded by his family.

He was born June 4, 1976 to Homer Myrick and Stephanie Russ Johnson.

Bryce was born and raised in Moultrie, Georgia and was a graduate of Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia. After graduation he attended the Culinary School of Dothan, Alabama and was an avid Chef and loved cooking for everyone.

He was preceded in death by his father Homer Myrick; paternal and maternal grandparents; a brother Christopher Myrick and sister, Vanessa Myrick.

To cherish his memories he leaves his mother, Stephanie Russ Johnson and stepfather, Paul Moore of Dothan, Alabama; two daughters, Arionna Myrick of Moultrie, Georgia and Melanie Lynn Myrick of Dothan, Alabama; a son, JaBryce Myrick of Dothan, Alabama; two grandchildren: King Howard and Syrproon Myrick; a special aunt, Mary Jackson Great of Moultrie, Georgia; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends in Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

To Those I Love

To those I love and those that love me; when I am gone release me let me go. Be happy that we had 49 years. Grieve for a while or me if youmust, then let your grief be comforted by trust. I won’t be far away, for life goes on so if youned me, call and I will come. Though you can’t see me or touch me, I’ll be near and if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear all my love around you so soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile and say, “Welcome Home”.
