When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.
It is well with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.
Apostle Hurley B. Russ was born February 9, 1949 to J.B. Russ and the late Ethel C. Pittman-Russ. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age, and was committed to walk in the knowledge of the truth in God’s word.
Apostle Hurley B. Russ served in the United States Army from 1967 through 1970 and serviced a combat tour in Vietnam with the 173rd Airborne Brigade from 1968 through 1969. After his tour of duty was over with the Military, he attended college while obtaining a career as a Certified ASC Heavy and Light Equipment Mechanic for over 50 years where he traveled consistently up and down the Northern and Eastern Seaboard.
In the year of 1988, Apostle Hurley B. Russ was united in Holy Matrimony to Naomi Ransome where together they nurtured four children: Robin, Adrienne, Kenta, and Kenneth. In addition to nurturing his family, Apostle Hurley B. Russ preached the gospel of Jesus Christ as he strongly believed that, “As Christ is, so are we in this World”. He also believed that as one lives a life sold out for Christ, he must live it radically with Power, Strength, Excellence and Dominion. Apostle Hurley B. Russ’ life impacted the lives of many individuals, and his legacy will continue to live on for years to come.
Apostle Hurley B. Russ stood in the position of Founder and Overseer of Ever Increasing Word of Faith Ministry in Marianna, Florida. Apostle Hurley B. Russ also established and spearheaded his own Apostolic Training School where he taught the principles of the Kingdom of God and trained ministers, leaders and disciples on how to operate at the highest level in Christ. Apostle Hurley B. Russ’ Ministry extended throughout Washington, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida by way of Radio and Television Outreaches.
