Coach Alexander "Alex" Broxton Obituary

Mr. Alexander "Alex" “Adam Broxton, “Coach Brock” or “Brock”, was born January 11, 1976 in Tucson, Arizona to Minnie Capehart Hogans and David Broxton, both preceded him in death.

 Alex was employed at Sunland Center in Marianna. Alex was an avid lover of sports especially the Florida Gators and his alma maters, Graceville High School and Murray State as well as the teams he coached (Graceville High, Marianna High and Chipley High School’s)! He loved coaching, especially his sons, and made lasting impacts on many young men through his coaching and working with youth in the Heart Power Organization (Champ Camp).

Alex who was known to by many, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida.

He is loved and will be missed dearly by his wife, Latina Barnes Broxton of Marianna, Florida; children: Jordan Broxton and Jaeden Harley; siblings: Taronce Broxton of Dix Hills, New York, Ashley and Alyssa Hogans of Mooresville, North Carolina, Marcus Broxton (Tanya) of Panama City, Florida, Josh Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Andreal Johnson Smith (Calvin) of Pensacola, Florida; nieces and nephews: Jayden Broxton, Serenity Ferrell, Omari Broxton and T’yanna Broxton and many, many more; step-parents: John Hogans, Jr., (Sheila) of Graceville, Florida; mother-in-law: Virginia Spires; aunts and uncles: Harry C. Capehart (Lois) of Grand Ridge, Florida, Arniel Capehart, Jr. (Linda) of Graceville, Florida, Havard Capehart (Glynis) of Woodbridge, Virginia, Auria Capehart of Graceville, Florida, Hazel L.
