Sister Minnie Lee Hogans, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Flowers Hospital with her family members at her bedside. She is reunited in Heaven with her father, Arniel Capehart, Sr., and mother, Hazel Mae Capehart.
Minnie Lee Hogans was born Monday, June 28, 1954 to the Arniel Sr. and Hazel Mae Capehart. She is a native of Jackson County, and lived the majority of her life in Graceville, Florida. She received her education from the Jackson County School System, graduating from Graceville High School, as well as Chipola College in Marianna, Florida. A dedicated employee, she spent 30 years at West Point Home in Chipley Florida, where she was employed as a Traffic Coordinator.
Minnie was converted at an early age and became a member of Mount Calvary Holiness Church of Christ Written in Heaven, in Graceville, Florida. She obeyed the gospel, and remained a committed member of her church, until she could serve no longer. She kept her faith until the end.
Minnie met and fell in love with John D. Hogan, Jr., and the two were joined in Holy Matrimony on Monday, March 28,1988. From the commencement of their union, the two remained faithful and committed to each other, until God called Minnie home.
Minnie enjoyed helping others and the joy of laughter. During her free time, she could be found sewing or reading a good book. She loved her family and friends, but above all, she loved the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving and devoted husband: John D. Hogans, Jr. of Graceville, Florida; her devoted children: Alexander Broxton and his wife Latina of Marianna, Florida, Taronce Broxton of Dix Hills, New York, her baby twin girls, Ashley and Alyssa Hogans of Mooresville, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Jaeden Harley, Jayden Broxton, Jordan Broxton and Serenity Ferrell; her devoted siblings: Harry C. Capehart (Lois) of Grand Ridge, Florida, Arniel Capehart, Jr. (Linda) of Bascom, Florida, Havard Capehart (Glynis) of Woodbridge, Virginia, Auria Capehart of Graceville, Florida, Hazel L. Lane (Ron) of Clearwater, Florida, Lucy N. Bighem of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Annie R. Graham (Jimmy) of Port Charlotte, Florida, Annie P. Nix (Terry) of Dothan, Alabama, Clydia M. Dickens (Devon) of Pensacola, Florida and Ona M. Brizzard of Tampa, Florida; brother and sisters-in-law: Norris Hogans (Jean) of Lexington, Kentucky, Mabelline McCray (Sidney) of Miami, Florida, Melinda Johnson (Jeffery) of Bonifay, Florida and Michelle Hogans of Bonifay, Florida; numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
