Mrs. Chae Suk Parker, age 61, of Graceville, Florida, (wife of Reverend Earnest Parker, Jr.) went home to be with the Lord on Sunday June 11, 2017 at the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the New Easter Missionary Baptist Church on Hope Avenue in Graceville, Florida with Reverend Earnest Parker, Jr. officiating and under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, FL.
Mrs. Chae Suk Parker was born August 12, 1955 to her parents, the late Hong Ki Hwan and Son Pon Im of Tongdouchon-si, South Korea.
Sister Parker would later meet her husband of twenty-six years while he was serving a remote tour in Korea in 1988; they later married on July 26, 1990. Not long after relocating to the United States, Sister Parker joined the Body of Christ, and later transferred her membership to Stonewall Missionary Baptist Church, Bossier City-Shreveport, Louisiana to serve alongside her husband. In keeping with the tradition, she would also joined the Body of believers at New Easter Missionary Baptist Church, Graceville, Florida in 2017.
Sister Parker is well known for her huge heart and giving spirit. She often passed out peppermints and candy to everyone she met and greeted with the intent to share her blessings with others. Her other interests included gardening, cooking, knitting, crocheting, and visiting the elderly. Until her health deteriorated, she was active in the Second West Minister’s Wives ministry.
Sister Parker leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, the Reverend Earnest Parker, Jr., Graceville, Florida; a son, Kelly Hong, Ijmuiden, Netherlands; a daughter, Anita Robinson; three brothers: Hong Chae Woo, Hong Chae Sung and Hong Chae Bum, Tongduchon-si, South Korea.
