Annie Lee (Russ) Waters

Annie Lee Waters, 75, was born in Cottondale, Florida on December 30, 1942 to the late Jimmy Russ and Mary Henderson Russ.

Her life on earth as we know it came to an end and her Heavenly life began on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Columbus, Georgia at home with her daughter by her side.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church in Marianna, Florida where singing was her passion even until the day she went home to be with the Lord.

Annie or as some called her “Mrs. Ann or Annie Lee” was full of joy and laughter and brought the same to many as well. She didn’t mind telling you how it was, however would do anything for anyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R. C.  “Pike” Waters; her mother, Mary Henderson Russ; her father, Jimmy Russ; two brothers: Jimmie Russ and Clemmie Russ; and two sisters: Mary Russ and Jennie Russ.

She leaves to cherish in her loving memories a daughter, Annette Marie Waters; Charlene Marie Shannon “Cece”-her special Hawaiian Kaikamahine; like a daughter, Latonga Brown; three grandchildren: Sacher G. Dickson, Jr. (Becky), Trazetta R. Newman (Victor Sr.) and Antonio Dickson (Tiffany Dunbar); four great grandchildren: Victor Newman, Jr., Victoria R. Newman, Vincent R. Newman and Anika Dickson; one sister: Minnie Russ Lawrence; two brothers-in-law: George Waters (Marian) and Leroy Waters (Tammy L.); two sisters-in-law: Ollie Daniels and Evangelist Bobbie Ann Hall; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
